artist info:

Jazz guitarist and vocalist and multi-Grammy award winner George Benson is popular largely in part due to his remarkable talent and versatility, but he is undeniably most celebrated for his ability to astonish his audience with his constantly changing musical focus. Benson’s is a career that started out by performing in nightclubs as a vocalist at the age of eight, and continued as he became a renowned jazz guitarist playing with Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, and Tony Bennett. In 1976, after years of recording only instrumental guitar albums in his younger years, Benson’s multi-platinum album Breezin’ became a success as its sole vocal track, a cover of Leon Russell’s “This Masquerade” flew to the Top Ten in the charts. A string of R&B-flavored vocal pop albums followed, until in the late 80’s Benson made the switch back to guitar with his release.
