Under the Sun: Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon & Fastball

Smash Mouth was formed in 1994 and they are best known for their songs “Walkin’ On The Sun” (1997) and “All Star” (1999).

Sugar Ray first gained fame in 1997 with their release of the song “Fly.” This song’s success, coupled with its pop rock sound that was quite different from the rest of their material at the time, led the band to a mainstream, pop music style. Subsequent albums shared this similar style, and the band landed a number of hits with “Every Morning”, “Someday”, and “When It’s Over.”

Gin Blossoms are an American pop rock band formed in 1987 in Arizona. They broke out with the song “Hey Jealousy” from their successful major label debut, New Miserable Experience, in 1992.
