Arts @
the Center is a collaborative project developed by the Atlanta
Symphony Orchestra, the Alliance Theater Company, and the High
Museum of Art. Arts @ the Center provides teachers with tools
to develop literacy strategies through music, visual arts and
theater.
Arts @ the Center Components
- An
exploration of teaching strategies for literacy through
visual art, music, and theater.
- Teacher
training for relating the arts to each other based on the
elements of each.
- Exposure
to educational artistic performances and exhibitions as
examples of the relatedness of the arts and their use towards
literacy.
- Exploration
of the use of technology in performance and exhibition.
- Encouragement
of family involvement through school-based workshops, performances
and exhibition opportunities.
On three
