Atlanta Symphony Orchestra 2001-2002 Sponsorship Opportunities

Music Director Robert Spano and Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles usher in an exciting new era of artistic leadership at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) beginning in 2001-2002, their Inaugural Season. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is the Southeastern United States' largest cultural organization and plays host to the region's corporate elite. Atlanta Symphony Hall is located in the Woodruff Arts Center in burgeoning mid-town Atlanta. The ASO audience is a sophisticated consumer group that notices and values corporate stewardship in Atlanta. Presenting Sponsorships are offered for all ASO series and performances. Supporting and Promotional Sponsorships may become available after presenting sponsorships are secured. All ASO sponsorships are subject to availability.

MASTERWORKS SERIES
The Masterworks Concert Series is the heart and soul of the Symphony and offers 24 weekends (72 concerts total) in Atlanta Symphony Hall at Woodruff Arts Center. The 2001-2002 Masterworks Concert schedule features such audience favorites as Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker, Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Holst's Planets, as well as twenty-five ASO Masterworks premieres. Maestros Spano and Runnicles and the musicians of the ASO will work with renowned guest artists such as pianists Alicia de Larrocha and Lang Lang, violinists Itzhak Perlman and Joshua Bell, and percussionist Evelyn Glennie. The ASO will also introduce the presentation of video interviews conducted by Maestro Spano with seven living composers whose works will be showcased. These interviews will enlighten audiences on each composer's works and creative processes prior to the ASO's performance of their work. Robert Spano, Donald Runnicles and guest conductor William Eddins will also set up great symphonic works with engaging, pre-performance discussions during four "Interactive Fridays" which will feature insightful conductor commentary and more. With so many new experiences and beloved ASO traditions, Robert Spano insists that the Inaugural Season is "sure to surprise and delight you."
