Atlanta Symphony Orchestra at Chastain Park

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, currently in its 67th season, is considered one of America's premier orchestras. Under the leadership of Music Director Robert Spano and Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles, the Grammy Award-winning ASO is well known for the excellence of its live performances and recordings, as well as its renowned choruses.

In addition, the ASO is among the Southeast's leading music promoters, consistently ranked in Pollstar Magazine's Top 100 promoters worldwide (based on annual ticket sales). The Orchestra's Delta Classic Chastain concerts at Chastain Park Amphitheater attract audiences of more than 100,000 every summer. With the opening of Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in May 2008, the ASO became the first U.S. orchestra to annually perform and present in a concert hall and two major amphitheaters.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra would like to thank the city of Atlanta’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs for operating and maintaining Chastain Park. Chastain Park covers 268 acres – the largest public park in the City of Atlanta – and is nestled in a tree-lined residential area. Besides its 6,000 plus seat amphitheatre, the historic park included a horse park, golf course, tennis center, recreation center, playground, pool and over three miles of walking and running paths. This unique array of amenities sets Chastain apart from other city park and attracts a multitude of users each year.
